“Stay sharp, gentlemen.” It’s the motto of the newest barber shop to open in Montrose, The Argyle League (703 W. Alabama St.). While they’re keeping the shorter hair of the neighborhood nicely trimmed, what’s also sharp are their skills in all things grooming. Barbers on staff include Carlos X. Carrillo (also the owner), Dominic Hickerson and David Lopez.

Services at the shop — located next to Siphon — include straight razor shaves complete with hot towels, hot lather and aftershave, trims, haircuts, beard shaping, buzz cuts, shoe shines and a shave-haircut combo.

Guests can book services online or old school (the phone), and if you don’t make it there before, check them out during their grand opening on September 27.
