Check out this video of our Cultural District Designation Application kickoff mixer featuring musician Joe Sample, artist Alton Cooper, and many more great creative folks from Houston. The event was a huge success, and everyone enjoyed the great food at Baba Yega while they listened to jazz and chatted with the artists.

Why are we applying to be a Cultural District? If Montrose is designated a Cultural District by the Texas Commission on the Arts, we’ll be able to bring even more events like this to the area, and expand the presence of the arts in Montrose.

Are you an artist or musician in Montrose? Any ideas on what we could do if we get the designation and the grant? Let us know by emailing!

Delinquent assessments for 2016 and prior years are being collected for services that were delivered in 2017. The current lawsuit status does not affect the collection of delinquent assessments due for 2016 and prior years for services rendered for calendar year 2017. Please direct questions regarding the cessation of services to Executive Director, Ben Brewer at We are committed to helping our neighborhood remain the safe, vibrant and attractive place to live and do business and would like to hear from you on how we can continue to work together in this effort.
