B-Cycle Plans Huge Expansion In The City Of Houston
CultureMap reports that Houston B-Cycle is set to become the “largest bike share program in Texas and the southwest” with a “big boost” from the federal government. B-Cycle’s capacity will “triple in size” in the next 18 to 24 months, upping the total number of bikes to almost 800.
This massive expansion will take place in three phases, adding stations in various locations, with the second phase concentrating on “creating greater station density” in the Museum District, Midtown, Montrose and Downtown.
B-Cycle works by allowing users to rent and return bicycles from stations located across the city.
