It’s 2pm on Thanksgiving Day and you have no turkey plans … we won’t ask why. We won’t judge you. We will provide you with a list of where to hit up. Turn off the Lifetime marathon of Holiday movies and get out of your house. Lift your spirits at these establishments open on Thanksgiving.

Anvil Bar & Refuge: Open at 8pm

How to kick off those holidays right? With a special Wild Turkey cocktail menu and pie. Free pie.

Boheme Cafe & Wine Bar: Open 4pm-2am

Ditch the turkey & dressing in favor of their new menu of burgers, fries, curries and wings.

From their website:Drawing inspiration from over 20 years of traveling, owner and Houston Native, Morgan Holleman carefully crafted this neighborhood bar to showcase the art, culture, and flavors he most adored from around the world. Boheme’s refurbished historical building is nestled in the quaint and lively Montrose area and is surrounded by a 6,000 square foot garden adorned with Shona stone sculptures from Zimbabwe – open for patrons to explore.

 

Canopy: Open 11am-6pm

An upscale Thanksgiving menu for carnivores and veggie-mites alike will be offered at Claire Smith’s Montrose restaurant. $45 per person gets you an extensive three-course option including local Houston Dairymaid’s cheese plate and rosemary lambchops but the more traditional can still get their turkey and pies [fried pies, even]

 

Luby’s: Open 11am – 8pm

Nothing says home-cooking like Luby’s. Get your bird on with all the sides you love for $10.99 on Thanksgiving. Now that’s something to be thanksful for.

Pronto Cucinino:

According to b4-u-eat, “the Vincent Mandola family’s fast casual restaurant,” will be open for Thanksgiving. Get your Italian on.

Roost: Opens at 4pm

Roost is offering a special menu  for Thanksgiving but will also have their regular menu available, too. You know, if you’re turkey’d out [I know, I can’t believe I even said that]

For the ultimate in Thanksgiving revelry head over to Grand Prize Bar where their hosting an incredible line-up of Houston chef’s all week – including Thanksgiving. All proceeds go to support the Charity Saloon by OKRA.  Here’s the incredible culinary cast:
