Neopolitan pizza lovers rejoice! The second location of Pizaro’s Pizza Napoletana at 1020 W. Gray is finally open to the public after a long wait. Pizaro’s original spot in Memorial quickly gained a loyal following, prompting an expansion to the second space along W. Gray and Montrose.

The Italian-style pizzas at Pizaro’s are baked in authentic wood-fired ovens with temperatures inside of up to 900-degrees Fahrenheit, which means they’re fully cooked in about 90-seconds. All the dough is handmade and hand-stretched as well as the mozzarella.

While the newest location is much larger than the original (they have double the pizza ovens and a more expansive dining room), the tightly edited menu of pizza and salad remains the same. And yes, the low-key dining still means paper plates, a grab-your-own soda machine and low-maintenance, but attentive service. Pizaro’s is open for lunch and dinner seven days a week.
