Barista John Letoto does it all. He roasts the beans, pulls the drinks and creates international-competition-worthy latte art, all behind the counter of Montrose’s Blacksmith at 1018 Westheimer. CultureMap reports that Letoto will soon create his masterpieces at the Coffee Fest Latte Art World Championship Open in Tokyo April 15 through the 17, as one of only three Americans that qualified for the competition.

As a way to help raise funds to offset travel expenses, Letoto is teaching a series of classes from late April to early June that will cover roasting, brewing, espresso and latte art — $45 for individual classes or $135 for the bundle. Tickets are on sale through March 31.
