By | January 13, 2015

MalaSichuanLogoFans of the tongue-tingling Sichuan peppers used generously throughout the dishes at Mala Sichuan in Chinatown will be happy to learn the restaurant is opening a second location, this one in Montrose (1201 Westheimer, which previously housed Dua). When the plans were announced in early January, the Chronicle called it “the most exciting restaurant news so far in this very young year,” declaring it a “bold move” that puts Mala Sichuan in the “heart of some serious restaurant action.”

The owners estimate a late February opening date at this time. Start preparing your palates for red oil dumplings and some of the tastiest, tingliest dishes in town.
