Sushi Bar Coming Soon To The Neighborhood

Between Swamplot and Eater Houston, reports are swirling that Montrose is getting a new sushi bar called Akamaru. A space at 315 Fairview formerly known as The Fairview is getting a makeover to become the Japanese restaurant.

The space was also once home to a Montrose location of the bar known as Dean’s Credit Clothing (which still has one location in downtown).
