Vocal Middle School Workshop (hosted by The High School for the Performing and Visual Arts)

The High School for the Performing and Visual Arts hosts a Vocal Middle School Workshop. It’s a unique opportunity for MIddle School Students to participate in Vocal Training sessions.

Middle school students in the greater Houston area are invited to attend a Vocal Workshop presented by The High School for the Performing and Visual Arts (HSPVA).

Students will be able to participate in one or two vocal training sessions covering topics from vocal techniques, solo singing and more.

The workshops will be taught by members of the HSPVA Vocal Department Faculty and current HSPVA students.

WHEN: Saturday, September 19
Morning Session (9 am—12 pm): Workshops taught by current HSPVA students on vocal technique, solo singing, sight-reading and audition poise and strategies.

Afternoon Session (12:30—2:30 pm): Designed to prepare students for upcoming auditions for the Middle School Region Choir. Taught by HSPVA Vocal Department faculty. Please note, only students who are auditioning for the Region Choir should attend this session.

A pizza lunch is included for students attending the morning session or both sessions. Afternoon-only participants will not receive lunch.
