HCP presents The Value of Art to Healing and Social Connectedness, an evening of art and dialogue!
HCP and The Menninger Clinic will discuss the value that art holds on the healing process of mental illness as represented in the exhibition Somewhere in the Balance.
HCP’s Outreach Coordinator Jamie Robertson will be joined with panelists from The Menninger Clinic –Jon Allen, PhD– senior psychologist, Kula Moore– art therapist, and Brad Kennedy– director of rehabilitation services.
The panel will begin at 6pm, drinks and light snacks will be served.
The Menninger Clinic in Houston specializes in assessing and treating adolescents and adults with complex psychiatric illness, including co-occurring disorders. Inpatient, community re-integration and traditional outpatient services are offered.
Programs integrate evidence-based and biopsychosocial therapies. Menninger ranks among America’s Best Hospitals in psychiatry in U.S.News & World Report’s annual survey.
