Triniti Restaurant & Mercury, the Orchestra Redefined Present An Unforgettable Evening of Music , Food & Spirits: The Seven Deadly Sins, Sunday, October 4, 2015.

The 7 Deadly Sins is the fifth collaboration between Triniti’s Chef Ryan Hildebrand and Mercury’s Artistic Director Antoine Plante.

They first met through Hildebrand’s business partner Chong Yi and his wife Faranak, both  significant supporters of the Orchestra because of the enhanced cultural environment it provides to to the city and for the educational program for young musicians that the Orchestra has developed.

The creative symbiosis between Chef and Musician is an interesting process.

“In the past, the music has sometimes dictated the food and the food has sometimes dictated the music,” says Hildebrand, who was a fine art major at Baylor before he became a Chef.  “The interpretation can be literal — as in the Spring and Fall programs we did — or more ethereal, as in the event featuring the music of Romeo and Juliet.”

About the Seven Deadly Sins Program

The food and music will follow the same progression of sins that Dante experienced on his journey through the Inferno.

While the sinners that Dante encounters are each punished in accordance with the sin they were most guilty of while alive, guests can expect a totally different kind of experience!

Enjoy music from composers like Vivaldi, Bach, Beethoven and Mozart that evoke the mood of each sin.

Guests will dine on dishes like Lust’s composition of oysters, grapes, pomegranate and caviar; or a dish of pasta plated to look like a hoarding octopus and dressed with squid ink sauce to mirror Greed.

And Envy?  Well, we’re keeping that one a secret…

The Montrose Management District
board workshop meeting scheduled for April 3
has been postponed indefinitely.
