Directed by Stages’ Associate Artistic Director Josh Morrison, The Book of Maggie marks Houston playwright Brendan Bourque-Sheil’s professional debut. Morrison led the cast and playwright Bourqe-Sheil in two private workshops that helped develop and refine the brand-new play, culminating in the full production in January

Bourque-Sheil is a native Houstonian and was in the first year of Stages’ renowned and acclaimed Young Actors Conservatory.
Now in its 12th year, Stages’ Young Actors Conservatory (YAC) is an audition-based, tuition-free month-long summer intensive that offers conservatory-style training for Houston-area middle and high school students. Led by recognized theatre professionals, YAC master classes encourage participants to explore every facet of dramatic production.
