The Music Box Theater announces its newest fall show, The 80’s (Mix Tape Diaries), a comedic and musical tribute to the extraordinary and unforgettable music of the 1980s. Opening October 29 and showing thru November 27.

Who doesn’t remember being stung by Sting’s “Roxanne?” Or, how can you forget Peter Gabriel’s “In Your Eyes,” Bonnie Tyler’s “Total Eclipse of the Heart,” or Bobby McPherrin’s plea for all of to “Don’t Worry Be Happy?”

The Music Boxers will also feature music from other 80’s artists like Prince, George Michael, Blondie and Bruce Springsteen. The music will be interspersed with hilarious comedy from The Music Box Theater regulars.

Tickets for each show are $37 for reserved seating and $27 for general admission and are available online at themusicboxtheater.com  or by calling (713) 522-7722. Wine, beer and snacks are available.

The Music Box Theater’s intimate cabaret is at 2623 Colquitt in the heart of Upper Kirby. This storied venue was the original home of Radio Music Theater.

Since The Music Box Theater opened its doors in May 2011, audiences have been dazzled and amused by the incredible talents of each of the five stellar performers in its cast: Rebekah Dahl and Brad Scarborough (founders), Luke Wrobel, Cay Taylor and Kristina Sullivan. Also supporting the cast is G Sharp and the MBT Three–our amazing four-piece band.
