Cindy Lisica Gallery presents the exhibition Terry Boyd: I Can’t Say That I Don’t Know That I’m Alive. Opening Reception: Friday, Oct. 14th, 6-8:30PM. On view through November 12.

Terry Boyd is a multi-platform artist who uses performance and fiber art to explore the mind and human experience within his art practice.

His recent body of work employs unconventional drawing, painting, and embroidery techniques to connect audiences to lost memories, forgotten dreams, and personal histories. The layered and meditative nature of his process serves as a visual mantra for both artist and viewer alike.

His solo exhibition, I Can’t Say That I Don’t Know That I’m Alive, brings a range of works on linen, canvas, and paper, as well as installations for Sculpture Month Houston.

Boyd holds a BFA in Painting and Master of Art from Carnegie Mellon University. He has shown in Miami, New York, St. Louis, Toronto, Houston, Portland, Pittsburgh, and Washington DC, including the Smithsonian.

He completed a sought-after residency in Bhutan in 2015 and has appeared in VICE, Glasstire, Treading Art, Venison Magazine, and several other art publications. He was honored “Best in Show” at the Three Rivers Art Festival and the 2014 Eben Demarest Trust Award, joining the likes of Jackson Pollock.
