Tenth Annual Lois Alba Aria Competition

Soma International Foundation, Inc., in collaboration with co-sponsor University of St. Thomas, presents the Tenth Annual Lois Alba Aria Competition. The Lois Alba Aria Competition takes place June 6th and 7th, in Cullen Hall, University of St. Thomas.

This is a nationwide aria competition for aspiring opera singers which offers them the opportunity to compete for prize money before our judges in the semi-final & final phase of the competition. Those chosen to progress to the final round the following day will then perform for our judges again as well as a live audience in the Awards Program.

1st, 2nd & 3rd Place winners are chosen by our judges and the audience will also cast their votes for their favorite singer. After a short musical segment, the judges will reveal their final decision and the prize money will be awarded.

It is always a pleasure to welcome such talented singers to the Houston area and our audiences are enthusiastic as well as knowledgeable with regards to brilliant singing!
