Cone Man Running Productions presents Spontaneous Smattering Se7en, a lively 24-hour play festival, with two performances 7 and 9:30 p.m. on Saturday, November 21, 2015.
What better way to start the holiday season then getting smattered? At 7 p.m. Friday, the writers will meet and randomly draw their actors, as well as other parameters and endeavor to write a presentable short play. They arrive back at the theater on Saturday and hand off scripts to the directors and casts, who have until 7 p.m. to rehearse, find props and costumes and be amazing for two shows that same night. The audience then gets to vote on awards such as Best Use of Genre, Best Use of Prop and the coveted Best In Show.
As always, all the proceeds benefit the Houston Food Bank. As always, the audience gets a shot at the door. It will be a completely random and raucous night of theatre not suitable for all ages.
