RYDE For A Reason – Leukemia & Lymphoma Society Fundraising Initiative

Indoor cycling studio RYDE – River Oaks invites you to participate in RYDE for a Reason, a charity bike ride benefitting the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society.  Kick-off event – September 17 at 7pm. Charity ride – September 19 at 8:30am.

RYDE is now accepting applications for 32 teams for the charity ride on September 19.  Teams of up to four members must guarantee a minimum donation of $160, and each rider will receive an event t-shirt plus refreshments.  Teams that raise the most sponsorship money for participating will be rewarded with a one-month, unlimited RYDE membership.

An in-studio cocktail party and silent auction will kick-off the event on September 17. Tickets, which benefit the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society, are priced at $30 per person in advance and $40 at the door. Admission includes a raffle, hors d’oeuvres from area venues, including Fleming’s Prime Steakhouse & Wine Bar–River Oaks, drinks, and entertainment.

The RYDE team is passionate about giving back to the community and excited to work with LLS, which counts a number of supporters as RYDE patrons.  Marking September Blood Cancer Awareness Month, RYDE for a Reason will help raise much-needed funds for research, patient services and advocacy efforts.

Locally, LLS supports the work of 12 researchers in the Texas Medical Center and provides patient services including educational materials, an Information Resource Center, First Connection Volunteers, support groups, back to school programs, and co-pay assistance programs.

Kick-off event – September 17 from 7pm until 10pm.

Charity ride – September 19 from 8:30am until 12:30pm.
