Laura Peña, Houston-born teacher & published poet, organizes Poetry Out of Bounds each year which is the official kick-off event for Houston Poetry Fest, and takes part in the Poetry Works Workshops.?
Christopher Whaley is a modern day renaissance man who hails from Houston, Texas. He is a spoken-word artist and published writer who hosts The Soul Brother Show, a weekly soul and funk broadcast on KPFT 90.1 FM.
