BLUEorange is Camping Out In The Gallery! Inspired by our current exhibition, Hollie Brown: Resting Places, which addresses themes of exploration — through collecting objects and moments, we’re showing Wes Anderson’s Moonrise Kingdom.

Join us as we follow the adventure of two odd-ball pre-teens running away and finding love.

Come out to our campout in the gallery with friends, smores and kettle corn! B.Y.O.B. (Bring your own blanket, sleeping bag, camping chairs etc.) Camping snacks, beverages and folding chairs will be provided.

February 6th 7pm @ BLUEorange Contemporary

Movie Summary

The year is 1965, and the residents of New Penzance, an island off the coast of New England, inhabit a community that seems untouched by some of the bad things going on in the rest of the world.

Twelve-year-olds Sam (Jared Gilman) and Suzy (Kara Hayward) have fallen in love and decide to run away. But a violent storm is approaching the island, forcing a group of quirky adults (Bruce Willis, Edward Norton, Bill Murray) to mobilize a search party and find the youths before calamity strikes.

Come by early and check out our current installation
“Resting Places” featuring Texas artist Hollie Brown.
On view until February 13th, 2016.

The Montrose Management District
board workshop meeting scheduled for April 3
has been postponed indefinitely.
