Museum of Fine Arts, Houston presents MFAH Film – Winter Break: Family Flicks. Thursday, December 28 and Saturday, January 6
Families can travel around the world cinematically with these two delightful new compilations of short films.
Curated by the New York International Children’s Film Festival, the programs are presented on the big screen in Brown Auditorium Theater.
Tickets not needed. Seating on a first-come, first-served basis. Free with MFAH general admission; free for ages 12 & younger; free for everyone on Thursday.
Best of the Fest: Kid Flix Mix 1
Recommended for ages 3 to 7
All films either in English or without dialogue.
Kid Flix Mix 1 features selections from the 2017 New York International Children’s Film Festival, including Audience Award winners Tiger and Stone Soup; and some of the highest-rated shorts, such as Crocodile, Mr. Night Has a Day Off, and Water Path for a Fish.
Best of the Fest: Kid Flix Mix 2
Recommended for ages 8 to adult
All films either in English or with English subtitles.
Kid Flix Mix 2 features the 2017 New York International Children’s Film Festival Grand Prize winner: Heads Together, by Oscar nominees Job, Joris & Marieke. The lineup also includes Grown-ups Award winner Riceballs and Audience Award winner Welcome to My Life (pictured below).
