Dorthaan Kirk expected to attend
Rory Kirk in attendance
Jazz visionary Rahsaan Roland Kirk was not only an otherworldly performer, he was also a tireless warrior against racial injustice and a campaigner for a wider appreciation of jazz, which he termed Black Classical Music.
Blinded at a young age, he saw the world through sound, and he reimagined it through dreams.
Electrifying archival performance footage, inspired animated sequences, and intimate interviews celebrate Kirk’s persistence in the face of adversity, and his legacy of musical innovation.
