From the Broadway, award winning musical ‘FELA!’, dancing/singing sensation, you heard him on Beyonce’s “Grown Woman”, ISMAEL ‘BONFILS’ KOUYATE! And from the world famous National Ballet of Guinea, Les Ballet Africains, master drummer & musician, MAMADOUBA ‘MITO’ CAMARA invite you to join them in a weekend full of music, family and fun!
During this culture filled weekend you will receive hands on lessons that focus on drumming and music/songs as it relates to the traditional African dances and rhythms of Guinea. Work alongside other instructors and avid students of this craft and embrace an opportunity like no other in a professional intimate setting.
The weekend intensive is a two day, 8 1/2 hour series of sessions where students of all ages and backgrounds have the opportunity to embark on a new skill or enhance a present skill. The intensive has both a lecture/Q&A and music/movement component.
