Houston Center for Photography presents Focusing Spot: A Creative Space for Young Photographers – Self-Portraits, a workshop for teens ages 12–17, on Saturday, November 19, 2016.

No more selfies!

This class will look at the history of self-portraits to inspire students to find ways to present themselves without holding their camera at arms length. We will also explore ways of representing oneself through objects, reflection and abstraction.

Focusing Spot: A Creative Space for Young Photographers introduces you to different photographic techniques such as lighting, editing and processing, alternative processes, color management and printing. As you move through the courses, each day you will learn new and different techniques.
