Extremely Shorts Film Festival 18

Aurora Picture Show presents the Extremely Shorts Film Festival 18, Friday and Saturday, June 5 & 6. Extremely Shorts returns for another year of fun, funky, thought-provoking, startling, offensive and sincere short films.

Now in our 18th year, the Extremely Shorts Festival is a juried competition of adventurous three-minute or shorter films and videos from around the world.

Presented by Whole Foods Market. Juried By Jolene Pinder of the New Orleans Film Festival.

This year we invited Jolene Pinder, Executive Director of the New Orleans Film Festival, to select 20-25 mini-masterpieces to be shown at this two-day screening event. Audience Choice cash awards are given for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place.

The short format of the festival encourages innovative approaches to filmmaking in a range of genres including narrative, art, experimental, documentary and animation. 

Friday, June 5, 7PM & 9PM
The first night of the festival features two screenings of the program with food available for purchase from the Whole Foods Market food truck.

Saturday, June 6, 7:30PM
Screening and Award Reception on Saturday
Saturday’s screening will also include the awards presentation and a reception with light bites from Whole Foods Market and libations courtesy of Saint Arnold Brewery.
