Ash Wednesday Service at the Rothko Chapel

Join Covenant Church for Ash Wednesday Service at the Rothko Chapel, an hour of sacred and poetic readings, choral music, and cello performance on Ash Wednesday, February 10, at 7:30 p.m., at the Rothko Chapel, 3900 Yupon Street, in the Museum District.

The Covenant Singers will perform Durufle’s “Notre Pere” and “Ubi Caritas,” Paul Christiansen’s “My Song in the Night” and “Wondrous Love,” Rene Clausen’s “Set Me as a Seal,” and other a capella music, directed by Fran Avera.

Susan Wegner will perform two pieces for the cello, including Ernest’s Bloch’s “Supplication.”

Rev. Laura Mayo of Covenant Church will deliver the liturgy and the imposition of ashes.
