A conversation between Galveston Arts Center curator, Clint Willour, and Hooks-Epstein Galleries artist, Edward Lane McCartney, will be held on Saturday, February 6th.
Mingle and champagne beginning at 2:00 pm.
Conversation will follow at 2:30 pm.

About Clint Willour
Clint Willour has been on the Houston art scene for over 35 years. While acting as curator of the Galveston Arts Center for the past 20 years, he curated many memorable exhibitions and also founded the Galveston Art Walk. Willour sits on 4 committees at the MFAH as well as other various public and private art councils, panels and boards. During his 16 years as director of Watson de Nagy, he helped found Art Houston, which was then called “Introductions”. Clint Willour’s contributions to the visual art communities in the state of Texas are far too numerous to mention.
About Edward Lane McCartney
Edward Lane McCartney attended The Art Institute of Houston in Houston, TX and received his Associates of Applied Arts in Interior Design in 1987. In 1999 he began studying metalsmithing at George Brown College in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. Since 2000, he has been a student on the Glassell School of Art at MFAH in Houston, TX. He has been in numerous group exhibitions nationally. Most recently, McCartney’s work was featured in the traveling exhibition, La Frontera, which exhibited at the Museo Franz Mayer (Mexico City, MX), the Houston Center for Contemporary Craft (TX), the Art Gallery at the University of Indiana (Kokomo, IN), and the Velvet da Vinci Gallery (San Francisco, CA). In addition, his work has been featured at the Museum of Arts and Design (New York, NY), the Tacoma Art Museum (Tacoma, WA), and The Craft in America Center (Los Angeles, CA). His work is also in public collections such as the City of Houston Public Art Collection at the George Bush Intercontinental Airport (Houston, TX), the Houston GLBT Archives (Houston, TX), The Museum of Fine Arts (Houston, TX), and The Museum of Arts and Design (New York, NY). Edward is currently the President of the Board of Directors of the Houston Center for Contemporary Craft.
