Founded through the collaborative efforts of NANO Fiction and Gulf Coast in 2008, MenilFest and the Gulf Coast Indie Book Fair has evolved into a collaboration between Gulf Coast and the arts organizations of the Menil Community.

MenilFest spotlights writers, artists, journals, presses, independent bookstores, and arts organizations committed to preserving and promoting the arts and humanities within Houston, Austin, Louisiana, and the rest of the Gulf Coast region.

MenilFest is a free event open to all lovers of literature, art and music!

Visit our website www.menilfest.com  for more information and a list of book fair vendors!

We hope to see y’all there!

Since its inception, the festival has grown from a small gathering of local bookstores and journals to a full-scale regional family event that includes multiple art forms: music, writing, and visual arts.
