The Barbara Bush Houston Literacy Foundation’s Young Professionals Group (YPG) will host the 2nd Annual Jungle Book Gala at the Dunlavy at Buffalo Bayou Park on Friday, October 21, 8 p.m. – 12 a.m.
Chairing the gala this year will be Lizzie Andrews, granddaughter of First Lady Barbara Bush, joined by honorary chairmen NBA All-Star Dwight Howard and international stylist and event designer Lucas Somoza. Young professionals are invited to a “wild” evening featuring drinks, light bites, a silent auction, and dancing to live music by DJ JJ Essen.
YPG’s mission is to engage young professionals in Houston’s ongoing literacy crisis by creating opportunities for members to read, lead, and serve our next generation.
Proceeds raised benefit the Barbara Bush Houston Literacy Foundation.
