Marlon Brando (Academy Award winner for Best Actor) stars as mob patriarch Don Corleone in this grand Mafia epic based on Mario Puzo’s best-selling novel—the chilling portrait of a Sicilian family’s rise and near fall from power in America, and the passage of rites from father to son.
The film also won Oscars for Best Picture and Best Screenplay based on material from another medium (shared by Puzo and the film’s director, Francis Ford Coppola).
Supporting cast includes Al Pacino, James Caan, Robert Duvall and Diane Keaton.
