Poetry Fix, a new biweekly reading series in the Montrose, launces its first reading with Kristy Loye & Robin Davidson, featuring, on Tuesday, September 6, starting at 6:30 pm. An open reading & discussion will following,
Kristy Loye is a freelancer for the Houston Press, & has been an instructor at Alvin Community College & HCC.
Robin Davidson (pictured) is the current Houston Poet Laureate, a teacher for University of Houston Downtown, a translator, & author of the poetry collection, “Luminous Other.”
The reading is free of charge, & the public is encouraged to bring a piece to read, as well as any questions for the poets.
Christopher Whaley & Mike Alexander will host.
Come early as parking is limited & the coffee is good.
