BLUEorange Contemporary is proud to present Any Idea? – Works by the Graduate Students From the UNIVERSITY OF NEBRASKA LINCOLN. Curated by Michael Villareal. Opening Reception: July 16th, 2016 6:00 – 9:00 PM. On view July 16th – August 19th, 2016.
As a way to bring awareness to the Nebraskan art scene, “Any Idea?” revolves around the graduates who came into the region to develop an understanding about their work and themselves. In this exhibition, the works are not chosen by a specific theme, but by the individuality of the artist.
At UNL, the program thrives on the formal aspects of craft and history seen within the realms of ceramics as well as ideas formed by a multitude of disciplines where influences from culture, memory, environment and identity are addressed.
