Adriana Velasquez: Immortals Among the Colors

The Institute of Hispanic Culture has the pleasure to invite you to see Immortals Among the Colors, a solo exhibition of artworks from Colombian artist Adriana Velasquez.

This art exhibit marks Velasquez’s first solo exhibition at the Institute of Hispanic Culture and features paintings and sculptures.

Adriana Velasquez has been in Houston since 2001 when she was appointed as Consul of Colombia. She explores in her paintings the intersection of the basics, classical and abstract; through basic shapes, color and texture to achieve a final effect that produces passion, joy and harmony.

In her sculptures, Adriana Velasquez show a mix between life and death using  elements of nature, making an excellent base of the final piece in bronze.
