Taize Service and Soup Drive

The choirs of Music for Children and Youth at St. John the Divine lead a contemplative service of song and prayer in the style of Taizé, featuring song, prayer, and silence that quiets the mind, opens the heart and feeds the soul.

At this Taizé service we wish to not just feed ourselves, but feed others.

To that end, we are asking that all attendees bring a donation of canned soup for Christian Community Service Center’s food pantry. CCSC is a non-profit organization with the mission to serve the poor, hungry, disabled, and otherwise needy while respecting their religious, ethnic or cultural differences. CCSC was created out of faith, and founded in the belief that we are called to help all God’s children heart to heart and hand in hand.
