When managing an organization’s finances, it’s important to keep the big picture in mind. Houston Arts Alliance’s upcoming Financial Literacy for the Arts workshop, Financial Operations: The Big Picture, 9:30-11:30 a.m. Wednesday, April 20, 2016, will help you do just that.
This workshop will provide participants with an overview of the financial operations within a nonprofit organization. Topics include the importance of creating a budget, specific accounting standards related to nonprofit financial reporting, services that an outside CPA can provide to assist the organization in reporting to the public (audit, review, compilation or preparation services), as well as other financial topics pertinent to arts and cultural organizations.
Instructor is Kelly J. Hunter, a shareholder in the Audit Department of Fitts, Roberts & Co., P.C.
