Photography Summer Camp at Houston Center for Photography. Class meets July 18th, 19th, 20th, 21st and 22nd, from 9:00 am–3:00 pm, with Kelly Webeck.
HCP’s Summer Camps introduce young enthusiasts to the world of photography. In this camp, students will become familiar with camera basics and photographic processing software such as Photoshop, Lightroom and Bridge, learning color and image correction as part of the photographic process. Young photographers will also learn about the history of photography and how great images are created!
Summer Camps include lectures, hands-on activities creative writing, indoor and outdoor photographic sessions, editing and feedback sessions.
No prior photographic experience needed.

Day 1 – Intro to Photography: How the camera works
Day 2 – Serial and Narrative Photography Objective
Day 3 – Portraiture
Day 4 – The world around me
Day 5 – Sharing your work

Registration
Registration for courses and workshops takes place through HCP’s website on a first-come first-serve basis. HCP members receive discount on all of our education events. If this is your first time taking a course or workshop at HCP you will need to create a profile online; make sure to add the camp participant’s name at the “student name” field. Registration will be complete upon receipt of the filled student form.
