The Jung Center presents Encountering Dreams: A Practical Approach: Discovering Our Hidden (And Often Disapproved Of) Selves.
What sense do we make of those confounding nightly visions we call dreams? What is the dreams purpose?
Jung offered an approach to understanding and dialoguing with dreams, whose roots lie in the “unfathomably dark recess” of the unconscious. Join us for this lecture series as we examine various perspectives to help us access the wisdom of dreams and their symbols.
LECTURE TWO: Discovering Our Hidden (And Often Disapproved Of) Selves
Our conscious identities are only part of the complex whole of our personalities – we are more than what we think we are. There are unlived, and sometimes denied, parts of us that appear and present themselves in our dreams. These unlived parts have the potential to reinvigorate our lives in some cases, and can also help us reconcile to others.
This lecture explores the value of bringing these parts of ourselves out of the shadows and into our conscious awareness.
