Continuing the Journey Through Blackwood

Nicole Longnecker Gallery presents Continuing the Journey Through Blackwood featuring new work from Heath Brodie. The show runs from August 8 to September 5, 2015 and opens with an Artists’ Reception Saturday, August 8 from 5-8 pm.

Nicole Longnecker Gallery continues its summer program of interactive art exhibits with an installation of new works by Heath Brodie combined with an interactive art area.

Creatively based on last spring’s Journey Through Blackwood, this exhibition will allow attendees to get involved and create their own art in a special area inside the exhibit. Perfect for adults and children, every twenty-dollar art donation benefits Blackwood Educational Land Institute along with giving you a special piece of art to keep.

“Continuing the Journey Through Blackwood offers a unique hands-on art experience that should not be missed,” said gallery owner Nicole Longnecker. “It continues our program of collaborative events offering our patrons both visual and interactive art.”

HEATH BRODIE: Originally from New Zealand, Heath works through the alias Journey Through. At its heart, Journey Through is inspired by the process of how nature transforms and renews itself as much as how humans interact with the earth. Brodie’s work has been featured in two recent exhibitions along with multiple public and private commissions in the Gulf Coast region.
