Avenue Rockers (Corpus Christi, TX)
http://www.avenuerockers.com/
Ave. Rockers have been spewing out a classic blend of punk rock and ska (inspired by the great Rancid, US Bombs, The Clash) since 2006. This Corpus Christi, Texas punk group has been through its share of heartache, drug abuse, alcoholism, excessiveness and countless members. These days Avenue is home to Luna- vocals, Danny- guitar, Roy G.- bass and Donner on drums. “While we still love to party, throughout the years we’ve also learned to love and embrace the music and are finally taking this band to the next level!”, quotes Luna. The band has had its share of opening for national/ international acts and last year (2013), they were embraced by Pandora.com, FM radio stations in New York/ Texas and did 3 shows in Mexico City.
A very successful summer 2014 East Coast Tour can also be added to their credentials. Ave. Rockers are currently working on their 2nd album, the follow up to their debut “Damaged & Dangerous” (2013), which will be available early 2015. They are a slowly rising band for the world wide punk rock scene and are huge fans of the original punk rock design- catch them when you can!!!
The Guillotines (Houston, TX)
https://www.facebook.com/pages/The-Guillotines/392228790871021
The Guillotines were founded by Robert Conn on guitar (The Pagans, The Defnics, The Plague, AK-47?s) and co-founder and wife Jewels (Chelsea Hotel) on bass. Since the bandâs inception, their only goal was to play the same loud, fast, and furious punk rock ânâ roll they helped create during the original punk movement in the 70?s. Their music is pure and unapologetic and their live shows are an aural assault on your senses. Want to more? Just ask or go to a show!
