A revealing look behind the scenes of Vienna’s Kunsthistoriches Museum where, over several years, its staff prepared a renovation and reinstallation of its palatial Kunstkammer galleries, a collection considered to be among the most important of its kind in the world.
The filmmaker uses an observational approach to document this ambitious initiative, shadowing the employees through their frustrations and triumphs.
Work spaces generally off-limits to the public are revealed with agile camerawork that also showcases the public spaces and galleries.
