Feelin’ Groovy

The Music Box Theater celebrates the music of the Woodstock Generation. The Music Box Theater presents Feelin’ Groovy. Running Fridays and Saturdays June 27 through August 1.

From 1965 through 1975, popular music provided the soundtrack to events what would re-define the nation’s attitudes and identity.

Great artists like Jim Croce, Bob Dylan, The Mamas and The Papas, The Byrds, Jimi Hendrix and Linda Ronstadt came of age during this decade of upheaval in America and the world.

In “Feelin’ Groovy,” The Music Boxers will sing a selection of songs from this period and attempt to capture the spirit of a transformational era.

The Music Box Theater’s intimate cabaret is at 2623 Colquitt in the heart of Upper Kirby. This storied venue was the original home of Radio Music Theater. Since The Music Box Theater opened its doors in May 2011, audiences have been dazzled and amused by the incredible talents of each of the five stellar performers in its cast: Rebekah Dahl and Brad Scarborough (founders), Luke Wrobel, Cay Taylor and Kristina Sullivan.

Also supporting the cast is G Sharp and the MBT Three — our amazing four-piece band.
