Artist Choice Film Series – Theatre of Blood NEW DATE

Houston Cinema Arts Society presents another installment in the FREE Artist’s Choice Film Series. Join HCAS for a screening of Theatre of Blood starring Vincent Price on August 21st at 8:30pm at Brasil.

Deliciously campy and wonderfully funny, Theater of Blood features Vincent Price at his melodramatic best.

A hammy Shakespearean actor gets the ultimate revenge upon his critics in this stylish horror-comedy. With the help of his loyal daughter, the thespian dispatches those who critiqued his work one by one, with each elaborate murder somehow inspired by a scene from a Shakespeare play.

The Artist’s Choice Film Series invites Houston visual, performing, and literary artists to select and introduce a feature film of their choice about their own art form.  A moderated discussion with the artist and audience will follow each screening.
