Montrose Crawl is Back!

Houston’s biggest and best Halloween event returns for it’s 6th year taking on 11 restaurants and bars between Dunlavy and Montrose on Westheimer, including Brasil, Poison Girl, Boondocks, Anvil, Etro Lounge, Catbirds, Royal Oak, Slick Willie’s, El Real Tex-Mex, Mo Mong, and The Hay Merchant. The Montrose Crawl combines a traditional pub crawl with the spirit of trick-or-treating — plus thousands of people in costumed shenanigans.

All Montrose Crawl participants are asked to dress in costume and to assemble at the restaurant Brasil, 2604 Dunlavy, at 6 p.m. on October 27 . Crawlers enjoy drink and food specials, and of course, a costume contest at the final destination, Slick Willie’s when the clock strikes midnight awarded by this year’s honorary Grand Crawler, Chef Bryan Caswell.

It’s not all spooks and tricks. A portion of all drink sales from the Crawl will be donated to the Houston Area Women’s Center, the Montrose Crawl’s official charity. The Montrose Crawl is sponsored by the Montrose Management District and the Houston Press.

There is no cost to join the Montrose Crawl, and the participating bars will not require covers or drink minimums. There are no tickets to buy or reservations to make. The Montrose Crawl is open to everyone of drinking age, and all adults are encouraged to attend and to help continue a Houston tradition. More details are available at www.montrosecrawl.com.
