Camerata Turns Into A Classroom One Saturday A Month
Camerata — the wine bar at 1834 Westheimer, adjacent to Paulie’s — is turning briefly into a classroom this Saturday (and future Saturdays) from 2-4 p.m. to discuss the finer points of various varietals and growing regions. Houston Press reports that the venue will be closed to the public during these hours to “designate their full attention to wine education.”
Sommelier and co-owner of Camerata, David Keck, will be teaching this series of monthly wine education sessions, the first of which is sold out and will focus on the pinot noir grape. While you may not make it into the kickoff class this Saturday, future classes for April 25 and May 9 are already taking RSVPs, with respective subjects of Spanish and summer wines. All classes are from 2-4 p.m. and cost $60. Samplings of the subjects being discussed are included.
